Tarter’s Sub-Compact Rotary Tiller makes it quick and easy to work up acres of dirt or create large food plots. Our Tiller excels at cultivating land; stirring up soil for gardens, food plots, laying sod, and many other tillage needs. This implement is ‘Tarter-Tough’ and versatile: choose from four depth levels to mix up loose soil, or break up the toughest ground.

The Tiller’s self-sharpening tines are long lasting, powerful and effective. These cutting tines are also wider than the standard - so they’ll mix up the soil better, and last longer. And if the soil suddenly turns rocky - Tarter’s rugged Sub-Compact Tiller is uniquely built tough at every key point.

The Rotary Shaft is powerful and sturdy; forged with thick steel, that’s large in diameter. We made sure the circular bearing flange that supports the shaft was also resilient; made of heavy duty cast iron. Then we went the extra mile to add strong, large bearings to support the rotary shaft.

And an exceptional Tarter design keeps nuts and bolts from vibrating loose: we use a thicker plated steel A-frame hitch which is sturdier and reduces vibration. That’s a big advantage over a flat bar type A-frame. Another key feature: a 45 horsepower gearbox has twice the horsepower of your tractor so it can easily handle the work.
